Great-value, very gay-friendly hostel located on the first floor of a traditional building, just 100 metres from Plaza de Chueca and Gran Via. The colourful and stylish rooms feature private bathroom, free WiFi, air conditioning, electronic safe and minibar stocked with complimentary soft drinks and water. The hostel is close to many gay-popular restaurants, cafés and bars. Puerta del Sol is about a short walk away.
Hotel Atlántico is located on the famous Gran Via, in a 100-year-old building. Behind the iconic façade, it's all neoclassical styling but with modern add-ons you'd expect to find in a reasonable 4-star hotel.All air-conditioned rooms are spacious and have good blackout blinds (essential in Madrid) and free WiFi.The Chueca gay district is less than a 10-minute walk away. A huge choice of shops and restaurants are just a few steps away.
The Westin Palace Madrid
Pretty much as good as it gets in Madrid. Originally commissioned in 1912 by King Alfonso XIII who wanted Madrid to have a world-class hotel, the Westin has seen important events in Spanish history and still sets the standards for Madrid today. All classically-styled rooms & suites feature the signature Westin Heavenly Bed and soundproofing. Located in the cultural centre, the hotel overlooks Plaza de las Cortes and is about 15 minutes from the Chueca gay district. If you are in town for Pride, then Plaza de Cibeles (which we think is one of the best-viewing locations) is just a 5-minute walk away.
A 3-star hotel with a lot of substance. Hotel Regina, which back to 1918, is located near the famous Puerta del Sol square, metro station, and within easy reach of the Chueca gay scene. All 180 guest rooms are stylishly furnished. The Superior rooms have a more contemporary feel than the Standard ones. Free WiFi in all areas. Regina has its own restaurant and bar, although you're spoilt for choice when it comes to dining options in the part of town.
Room Mate Óscar
A consistently popular Madrid hotel on Travel Gay. Room Mate Óscar is located in the heart of the gay district overlooking the Chueca plaza, just steps from many of the best gay bars & cruise clubs. Guest rooms & suites have soundproof windows (essential in this part of town), fast free WiFi, minibar, flat screen LCD TV. Breakfast served until noon, and deli-style room service is available. The hotel's rooftop terrace offer fabulous views. Its poolside bar & lounge is a destination in its own right. Book early for fiestas and other public holidays.
AC Santo Mauro
Duke of Santo Mauro would have anticipated that his neoclassical mansion, built in 1895, would end up being converted into a hotel - and even less likely that it would be recommended for gay travelers. But if you like a bit of class, we're sure you will appreciate the outstanding service and the gorgeous setting. The AC offers a great combination of the contemporary and classic, as well as excellent dining. The hotel features a nice indoor pool and a decent gym. Located in Chamberi neighbourhood, just a short taxi ride from the gay district.
Iberostar Las Letras Gran Via
The design of this gorgeous hotel pays homage to Spanish literature and language. Iberostar Las Letras is one of a few hotels in Madrid that successfully combined with old and the new. Behind the 100-year-old façade, the modern rooms feature custom-made furniture and fabrics and high quality products. We recommend their Superior or Deluxe rooms with fabulous views of Madrid. The rooftop bar is a great place to enjoy a Mojito before heading out to the nearby Chueca gay scene.
The stylish Urban Hotel fuses an art deco and modern styling with a reasonable degree of success.Its central location is great for sightseeing & shopping. A huge choice of gay bars and late night dance clubs in Chueca gay village are about 10 minutes walk away. Guest rooms feature a minibar, safe, flat screen TV, blackout blinds and double-glazed windows. The Urban's duplex suites and suite lofts have fabulous raised living space separate from the bedroom. The hotel offers a good value for money within its 5-star price bracket and great service. The rooftop terrace bar with sun loungers is a nice bonus.
Hospes Puerta de Alcalá
The luxurious Hospes Puerta de Alcalá is located next to Madrid's popular park, Parque del Retiro, and just a short walk of cultural attractions such as the Museo del Prado and the Puerta de Alcalá. The fully renovated 1883 building offers 40 chic guest rooms with king-sized beds, flat screen TV's and free WiFi. The larger Deluxe Alcalá rooms have great views of Puerta de Alcalá and the park. The hotel has its own spa and gym, terrace bar and restaurants, although there are plenty of dining choices nearby. The gay bars and clubs in Chueca are about 10-15 minutes' walk away.

Each floor of the Silken Puerta America was created by world-famous architects including Norman Foster, Jean Nouvel and Zaha Hadid. Guest rooms have flat screen TV's and free WiFi. The hotel has its own gym, indoor pool and Turkish bath. There is also a rooftop terrace and bar with amazing views of Madrid. Located 10-15 minutes' walk from the Salamanca neighbourhood. The Cartagena metro station is just a couple of minutes' walk.
ME Madrid Reina Victoria
The stylish ME Madrid is conveniently located, just a 5-minute walk from Puerta del Sol metro station and 15 minutes of the Royal Palace of Madrid. Gay cruise club Attack is nearby. Cute little boutique hotel that packs a lot of design and comfort. Hotel Abalú is located just a 10-minute walk from the popular Gran Via avenue. Location, location, location! The gay-popular Petit Palace Ducal is steps away from the Gran Via metro station and near gay venues in Chueca. ENFRENTE bar is just around the corner. This 19th century mansion has been converted into a modern boutique hotel with stylish rooms. Facilities include a hydro-massage shower, free WiFi, laptop-sized safe, flat screen TV and minibar. Excellent value for money and very popular during Madrid Pride.
Pensión Chueca Madrid
Excellent budget option for gay guests. Pensión Chueca is located in the heart of the gay district, a short walk from the metro station. There are only 8 rooms. The rooms are simply furnished and feature air conditioning, private bathroom and free WiFi. Massage and laundry services are available. Gay cruise clubs Organic Men's Club, Leather Club and Shower & Bar are within walking distance away from the guesthouse.

Good value for money hostel, conveniently located in the heart of the Chueca district, just a couple of steps from the gay bars and clubs as well as two metro stations, Chueca and Gran Via. Whilst not quite within the Chueca area, the B&B Fuencarral is just a couple of minutes' walk from the gay bars and less than 400 metres from Gran Via. The soundproof, minimalist-designed yet very comfortable rooms feature free high speed WiFi, LED TV, minibar, safe, large shower with double jets. On the 5th floor is a coffee and juice bar, offering unlimited free drinks and fruit all day and some great rooftop views of Madrid. Excellent value.
